I had a great time on retreat with Together for the Gospel and then on the road to visit family and a Presbytery meeting but I have the first two sermons inspired by Together for the Gospel (feel free to listen to the inspiration here)
The first two messages were inspired by the word from Ligon Duncan I pray God is honored and Ligon would not be offended.

Thursday Morning Quarterback- Not a Fan week 3
Continuing the series of sermons inspired by Kyle Idleman and his work with a sermon on intimacy. Listen:
Thursday Morning Quarterback
Sunday’s Sermon based upon Kyle Idlemen’s Not a Fan series.
Fan or Follower?
So we are working on the study, “Not a Fan” by Kyle Idleman. It’s pretty good stuff. And today’s devotion asks us to define the words Devotion and Admiration. Then it asks the question which do you actually feel towards Jesus.
See we make all kinds of assertions about our love of Jesus but our lives just don’t prove it. To me devotion is personal, focused, and passionate whereas admiration is distant, general, and dispassionate.
How do you see it?
Playing Church “small”
This week’s sermon deals with the simple “doing” of the faith. It isn’t an abandonment of our calling to speak the gospel, or be holy, but one of the primary tasks of the Christian is to live it out listen!
Is God the Final Answer?
Re-recorded (Monday Morning Quarterback version) of this weeks sermon:
Sharing the Good News with Humility

Christ is Lord of all yet he lived as a servant.
Skunks at the Sacrament!
The text in Titus this week was particularly challenging – especially when paired with the headline out of Sacramento regarding skunks. But out of that challenge comes a true blessing – listen!
ESV Titus 3:1 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. 3 For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.
