Palm Sunday 2013 – Somebody Else’s Parade

Palm Sunday 2013 Somebody Elses Parade

Palm Sunday is an annual riddle for me. We open worship with hosanna’s and sing of the the children but many if not most of the crowd gathered that day did not understand Jesus’ mission. Almost none understood how the week would end. In this message I express my angst regarding our modern traditions and I hope point us to the truth.

To God be the Glory.

Luke the Gospel in Action: Particular People – Singular God

Looking at Luke chapter 3 vs. 10-18 I discovered that God is singular and although there is likewise a singular Gospel it has particular applications for particular people.

You can hear the Holy Spirit work as I slowly change the name of the sermon while I preach! A sermon is not complete until it is preached and there was living proof this week. (I have preached from a manuscript for 12 years – none (of the manuscripts) have survived the experience.
